My interest in the salt flats has been growing quickly. I was curious if there is any sort of record for the fastest abody on the salt or if anyone here has any experince. I tried the search tool and didn't come up with much besides a few real old post.

I remember seeing an A-body salt flat car on here a year or so ago. I remember it was a Barracuda, I just can't remember if it was an early A or 67-69. I'll look through my subscribed threads and see if I can find it.

I would like to know exactly how much "building" Troy has done on any of his cars. Does he really build them or does he simply throw money at people?

Didn't Nelson (NRE) have something "big" a bit ago?

Not an A, but interesting read from "back when"

BlowFish is owned by George Poteet (or was) and has several engines installed for different records. Right now George has moved on to a streamliner that is the fastest piston power-wheel driven vehicle record holder @ 451.933 mph

I believe the first version was a 4 banger and that he had recently upgraded to the 392 P5 in an effort to break the 300mph mark.

Here is the original build

It was built by Troy for George Poteet who is a huge money man in the car building business.......basically he has no bottoms in his pockets and loves to pay for sweet rides.

Lucky him.

I tried to find it but, could only find his more recent VW records and a model T record. I think Wayne lives in northern Ohio. Someone that knows him might be able to get the info. I used to own the dart (bought it from him) had the Hot Rod issue which the story. I sold it years ago and let the magazine go with it.
