Yep...today was my last day with Nissan. After 5 yrs. of frustrating and aggravating conditions I'm out. I pick up my tool chest and assorted crap tomorrow morning and move in at Infiniti. Monday morning I start.

The only thing that would make me happier (besides waking up and being 19 again...) would be pulling a John Force-style smokey burn-out with the `Cuda. And that day is coming soon...

Have a great weekend guys. I know I will!

Thanks for the well-wishes. I know this is going to be a good move!

And yes, that's Dimebag himself lighting it up.... 8)

Remember to pour a bunch of bleach mixed with Super Clean or Mean Green type of degreaser on the pavement where you intend the polish the pavement.. Instant and and huge cloud of the most beautiful white smoke.

Battle tested on Brice Road!!

Good luck John!
I just put in Cowboys From Hell in the CD player about 5 mins before I read this post.

Good Luck John!! I know what its like to work for a crappy Dealership/Owner

Pantera= one of best bands in History! R.I.P Dimebag!

Best of luck with the new job.

Man I can remember seeing Pantera at Hammerjacks in Baltimore when Cowboys From Hell first came out.:supz:

Hey John, I hope ya find a home over there. Best of luck to you.

Good luck John. You gotta be happy in what you do for a living - it affects so many other areas of your life. No one needs that kind of stress and aggravation.

Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to know that so many Mopar lovers also love the GODS OF ROCK!!! Pantera has been my favorite band ever since I heard "Primal Concrete Sledge" on the Cowboys From Hell album!!! I still remember getting to see them at the Coliseum and then a time or so here in Oklahoma, and BEST SHOW EVER in FT WORTH, TEXAS!!!! (said in Anselmo's voice) Love those guys, RIP Dimebag and glad to finally see Vinnie (Still the best kick drums ever by the way!!!) get off his *** and do something with Hell Yeah! But this post is just Far Beyond Driven while Reinventing the Steel with my Vulgar Display of Power by a Cowboy From Hell in the Great Southern Trendkill drinkin "101 Proof"

It totally sucks to get up each day of your life and go through the drudgery of work or a workplace you dislike. It`s a whole new life when you like what you do and the place you do it. Good luck in your new endeavor!

Good luck with the new job... most people never make the move and only continue to complain!

Although your paycheck will be coming from the same company.

Glad to hear you are moving on John =D>
To be unhappy at a job is un healthy and sucks work around management that flags pay and rips off there workers buy B.S them on the pay and give out bad karma:angry7:
And don't know how to respect a man doing HIS work need to be weeded out. :read2:
I could tell you a story or two where the service manager's would show a job to a young tec that this job only pays 3 hours, But the truth would be 41/2 hours so the service manager gets a bigger pay back by abusing the code book. sneaky little turd runs a copy of a spread sheet he had made up and there was older tec's there new he was doing it.:tongue9:

Yep !! glad to here you are moving on
Infiniti wants you and needs your help.
Go have a good time this week end \\:D/
and have a great day meeting your new co workers monday.:-D

Congrads on the move John.

The latest shop scam i heard of was that all the techs got paid out of a "pot" that they put all of the hours in on a weekly basis. The hardest working and fastest techs get screwed and the slowest laziest techs got rewarded. Not only that but HR according "privacy rules" wouldn't allow the techs to see someone elses hours, so how would you know if you were getting ripped off or which techs to ride on for being lazy? Sounds like freakin' communism to me.

I never worked in a shop that pooled our hours here. Some shops do, but they post everyone's productivity so everyone knows who's slacking-off.... which will work wonders for your poplularity. Especially when you have that problem car you can't fix or your holding a transmission in with one hand and can't reach the jack handle.....

As for the move, check THIS out. This is a picture of the ceiling over my work area. Aside from the fact that when it rained outside, it also rained INSIDE.... you can see chunks of wood rotting off and pieces did drop on occassion (the reason for these photographs... just in case I got harpooned and my wife had legal issues to settle with them). And there's mold growing everywhere. If I called OSHA, the Board of Health, or the Labor Board, I'd just black-ball myself from any Nissan owned store forever, plus have a bad-rep out in the street. Besides, I'm not a babysitter..... these guys know what's going on. So instead I politely resigned and wished all my co-workers good luck. They choose to ignore their health and not to band together to fix the conditions. So be it....

This is a shot of how MANY tarps I had put up to funnel water away from my tool chest. Plus that big old heater over my work station stopped working last November...and NO ONE puts a hose on a running car in the shop. When you consider the shop has almost 40 lifts it get's downright dangerous inside. I've gone home with headaches that pounded for hours....

F`it.... I'm outta there. I was the only Master Tech they had, plus one of the FEW honest Tech's in the building. I'm not going to miss that whorehouse.

Yeah you need to get out of there! It a double edge sword. damned if you report the condtions and damned if you don't...your brother techs will continue to suffer the same headaches and condtions...management willl still be @sses...ugh!

Isn't there a Whistleblower law that protects you? But the company always wins even if you sue and win...long drawn out battles. A co-worker's wife sued the state of Hawaii and won 3 mil...but the way litagation's go...they'll never see it:snakeman:

good luck bro!

Holy Crap! There is some seriously bad stuff going on there. Then to top it off, no techs used a hose? Jeez, what bunch of freakin' knuckleheads.

Damn brother, you did the right thing and I know you've got no regrets. :)
