If you go to Google and type in Parkwood estate Wikipedia you can see Col. Sam's home. When my wife graduated from nursing she was given a dozen red roses personally from Col. Sam. That was the last year he was able to present them himself due to age. His wife was a nurse as well and was instrumental in building the Oshawa Hospital which is right next to his estate.

I was hoping there would be a tour of the place. It has an indoor bowling alley and the backyard has a water feature that looks like the Taj Mahal in India. I've never been inside the place but they do a lot of filming there and has been in quite a few movies.
Did you earn enough money to buy your paint Fred?

Well..Diane graduated in 1969 and he was really getting on in age so thinking early 60's maybe.

I just noticed the year on the license plate (1962) and back then the plates were replaced every year and not a sticker like today.

Yeah they were great. I was still a kid till June 1st 1966. My first day of work. That's when I started in the auto glass trade. I was 17 yrs old. Have a great day guys. May get some snow today.
