Has anyone found a good method to install those early windshield and back glass lockstrips without buying the installation tool? Is the tool easy to use? The corners are a real pain just using a screwdriver.

In my opinion, it's worth the $20 for the tool. With the time you'll save by using the tool, you can be drinking beers paid for by the money you're saving by doing the install yourself in the first place.

I agree with mopowers, it was worth the investment. It did make it much easier and I didn't have to worry about damaging the lockstrip. I'd loan you mine if you were closer.

Never seen that before.
The lock strip on the '67 front installs with just a bit of effort.
I might have used some tongue depressers to help. Its been a while.
The tricky part is getting corner pieces on.

The strips on the notchback are a little more difficult but the really hard part is gently heating and shaping the reproductions since they come straight.
If you are lucky and find an original they are shaped to fit.
