Seems like everything is used except for the crank ??

Wonder if the seller has run any of these parts or is this a collection of used stuff pieced together with a new crank. ??

Used Camshaft and matched up lifters to go back into the build. (think most would want to use their own cam selection).

Ok what makes it 414 ? Sorry in advance for dumb question ,thought 408 was the shillzl

On the bright side if you use his used purple camshaft and numbered lifters, you won't have to break in a new cam and worry about eating up the new questionable currently made lifters.

______________

Imagine the new stroker crank and the rest of the rotating assembly needs to be balanced yet? Unless he has had that done already, by the looks of the pistons and rods I would guess have not been balanced yet.

Used parts are proven parts. Use your own discretion.

Was just wondering what a stock 360's stroke is = 3.58"

Wow that is almost an extra added 1/2" to the stroke when you swap in the stroker crank with a 4" stroke.

That will make a noticeable amount of low end torque. Plus the added 54 cubic inches of displacement.

340s were short stroke engines at = 3.31" stroke.

@RustyRatRod
How's the new Fiber Optics Internet working?
It's pretty fast. Not as fast as it could be because of my older laptop. But it's 100 mbps up and down coming into the house. I'm gettin mid 40s up and down on my laptop. Still a huge improvement.

Gets to be more question than answers with this 414 stroker.

With almost 1/2" additional stroke over the stock 360 that was over bored .060 and he was running his Keith Black pistons and rods on a stock crank.

How can he use those same pistons and rods and not have the pistons pushing out of the top of the deck with that new 4" stroker crank?

Lots of thinking and planning required to do the stroker builds.

Comments???

It's probably the used 4" crank in the original box. Does the ad say the crank is new?

Yeah it does. I see it. Instead of fifteen damned pages, call the guy and see. lol

That's just great, happy for you that's life changing stuff.

I am guessing you are going wifi from your laptop (upstairs, main level) the new fiber Optics Wireless router 20 ft away and maybe in the basement with the router = 40 mbps.

Now if you take a short ethernet cable
and hard wire from your laptop directly into the new Fiber Optics router, those uploaded/download numbers should be closer to 90 Mbps.

You lose speed over the wifi vs being hardwired in.

If you are going to upload videos that take some time, you can hardwire in for those uploads to cut the data transfer times in half.

Then you can go back to regular Wifi for your other normal operations at 40 Mbps. Still pretty fast going up and down.

It's on the dresser 15 feet away. What's this upstairs and basement you speak of?

Yeah it's a brand new crank still in the box, never opened yet.

Kind of looks like he has a .060 over 360 block and a new in the box 4" stroke crank.

Looks like this is the start of his new stroker build and then he stopped the project.

Think he was expecting to drop all of his other used parts on top of that base.

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

Sometimes they put the routers in the basement, not your situation.

Anyhow you are only 15 feet away from the router, but the wifi hardware in your earlier laptop only can work so fast with this new technology.

Being it is close by to your laptop you can hardwire that distance with a 20' ethernet cable and bypass the laptop wifi and go right in direct to your motherboard with the ethernet cable.

Can give you a real time test of the speeds your laptop is capable of with the new service.

I'll use a short cable. Kitty is a walking accident and anything extra on the floor and she's gonna find a way to trip over it. I'll see if I can find one later on today. I think I have one somewhere. Thank you.

Don't see anywhere that says the pistons are 360+.060, says the block is a 360+.060

Might be stroker pistons at +.060

The pistons look like dish stroker pieces

Yes those used pistons look like dished stroker pistons like you say. Was under the impression they were running in the stock stroke 360 with the overbore of .060.

The block does not look like a fresh bore right now, like a used bore though.

So either he ran those used Keith Black pistons in his .060 stock crank 360 block.

Or it's a stock bore 360 block that has not been bored to .060 yet and he has just been collecting various parts for the stroker build as he can afford and find them. Thinking this is more the senario here the more I look into it.

He's been gathering used parts to build a 416.
