70 Dart, factory discs front. What exactly is replaced in the lower control arm During rebuild, rubber bushing, metal bushing ??

Press the pin out. I've done it with a gear puller. Rubber comes out with the combat screwdriver. I prefer the 1 3/8 inch tap method of pressing the shell out. I recommend the weld on box plates too.

Depends on the type of bushing you use. If you use a replacement rubber bushings, the old bushing shell has to removed. If you install a poly bushing that doesn’t have an outer shell, you leave the old outer shell in place to use with the new bushing (after you make sure the new bushing fits tightly as it should). If you install a Delrin bushing, the outer shell has to come out.

This is a new bushing already installed with the pin

This is the pin pressed out of the bushing and the bushing removed from the outer shell, outer shell is still in the LCA.

Outer shell removed. There’s a few different methods, I use a big tap and then press them out.
