Lunati cam too much for a 318?

Where did you get your stall built then? So does yours flash to 2500 with little flare as taking off form the lights normally?

Cheers

My PTC 3500 9.5" doesn't flash until I step on it, otherwise it acts like a regular street converter. VERY little slip or heat. Very Efficient. Don't fear the stall, go with what is recommended for your cam, from a GOOD company! It ain't 1979!

Yeah Im still liking the 703 but thought it might need a little more lift? Ideally id like to make 400hp at the crank without making it a pig to drive. The smallest lunati solid is the 740 but I was worried the .050 due was a little large for my needs.

Have you experience with the 703?

Sweet just what I needed to hear. In the case of yours, I would be happy with a larger stall then.

So you can cruise on the highway under the stall speed with no dramas?

Cheers

Yes, all day long I cruise 2800 if I push the pedal a little it responds immediately in small increments. Never do I feel like it was a 'slush box'. I had the same reservations you did, then someone told me to get my head out of my *** and pull the trigger.. Glad I did!

Somewhere there is a video illustrating this on youtube. I'll see if I can find it.

There are 7 videos of the cruise, here is an index:

Thanks, it's a Bullet cams re-grind:

int/ext .525 lift; 225 @ .050 duration on a 112 LCA. Real close to a comp XE268.

Sorry for the late post as I see you have made up your mind ,I got mine from Torque converter Technologies out in Oakley. Drivability as mentioned it drives like any stock converter car until you get on it, but it all depends on your cam selection and your package as a whole and they will build one for your setup. Tell them if it will be 80 % street 20 % strip or 90/10 as an example but you need to give them as much info about the car and your setup so you will get something that will work with your setup.
