Machine Shops in Texas

Moved to north central Texas about 90 miles south west of Dallas / Fort Worth. I have a couple big block A body projects going and looking for a good automotive machine shop in the area that is familiar with doing mopar block work, wedge and hemi. Any recommendations? Thanks

Call James(Jimmy) Carney at Carney Motorsports in Weatherford. 817-374-6167. He would know who is good in your area. I know of a good cylinder head shop outside of Kerens, Tx and a machine shop in Fairfield, but Jimmy could probably put you on to people closer to you.

If anyone needs recommendation for Central Texas, I use Parks Machine Shop, Seguin, TX. Quality work and prices are in line with everyone else.

Here is your guy. All he does is heads. Located about 20 miles south of Summit Racing in Arlington TX. Helluva nice guy, you will not beat his prices.. I just dropped a set off with him yesterday, quite a few sets ahead of me, and that’s a good thing.

Find a shop that uses a profilometer when they home.

If they don’t, find another shop.
