Maroon on deck lid of 68 Barracuda ???

I was looking at ebay the other day and ran across a reproduction tape stripe (maroon or dark red)for the rear of a 68 Barracuda. It said that it goes between the upper and lower trim on the back of the deck lid.

I don't recall ever seeing this before ???
 
didn't copy the link . There was no pic. I'll try to find it again.
It was some company that had a bunch of misc. repop stuff.....
 
Found these on the web, noticed a lot of owners also paint it body color or matte black.

interesting... That's a nice touch . I looked through the FABO gallery and didn't see any with this.
Anyone know what pkg this came with or was a freestanding option.

What's up with the Hurst emblem ?
 
Mine has it, it's a reflective stripe between the tail lights.
 
why did some cars come with it and some not ??

I'm still learning about the pkgs and special options on the Barracudas.
