I bet $2 win/place/show on the horse that won the Kentucky Derby (50-1, I think), and I bet $5 to win on the horse that came in 2nd. That $5 bet I almost changed at the last minute it to be $5 win/place/show. Oh well.
So I get paid for the first one, but not the second. That's better than nothing!
I don't know anything about horse racing, but my mother wanted to bet on it, I just picked a couple of names that I liked.
