The Mailman delivered this today. Looks like a nice piece and I hope it helps controlling some crank case pressure I’m having . Engine doesn’t burn oil, it just pushes it out of the rear main not bad but noticeable If I run it the std way one passenger side pcv drivers side breather if I run the 2 pcv one on each end of the sniper not one drop from anywhere. Doesn’t pull any oil up the hoses as I check them on the regular and they are bone dry. Checked vacuum and I’m pulling 13 hg @ Idle. I’m deciding weather to run a catch can as I do have one just trying to work out where to place it . Will set this up this weekend . Pretty straight forward by the video.

Both rocker covers yes ! It ain’t right but it works that’s why I purchased this Pcv as those stock ones might not work properly as these can be setup for idle and cruse.

Am I understanding this correctly, you have a PCV in each valve cover plumbed to a vacuum source?

PCV is only supposed to 'vent' at part throttle, should be sucked closed at idle and spring pressure closed at WOT. stock PCV are dialed in to specific camshaft profiles and vacuum levels so its no wonder that stock PCV valves dont work great on a cammed motor that has lower than expected vacuum at idle as it seems to the PCV valve that you are at part throttle and opens, vacuum leak! That valve has both closed modes adjustable. adjust idle side so its closed at idle, and somehow adjust the WOT side so its open at WOT (easy as that is what it rests at out of the box) looks like a nice piece. $?

EGR---(not related but a similar working issue)

My mazda (and a few others I suppose) had a EGR that had a threaded pintle in it (small hex at base of shaft) , you could turn it and it would lengthen the pintle, delaying the off idle break point. I found mine to be leaking at idle so I turned it up a little and BAM, idle was smooth as silk again. That was the most satisfying repair, just a turn and the mystery idle issue was fixed.

OK you are running 2 PCV's
Are you also running 2 breathers?

No breathers , when I was running the normal way 1 breather one pcv I would have the leak that’s when I tried this way I know it’s unorthodox but it worked that’s why I got on to this pcv to see if it will make any difference.

Pishta $ 125 for the unit than shipping, wasn’t cheap by the time it landed here than convert US to. Aus . I was intrigued by the fact that you have some control with this setting idle and Cruze and you set it for what the engine needs. There are vids on their site showing how to set it up. The kit comes with some spacers to give some space between pcv and baffle if you require it , maintenance kit which are a few O rings and a softer spring which they have a chart to determine on how much vacuum your Engine is pulling To what spring to use .

I dont understand how that could work without breathers.
But it is working dont try to fix it.

I run one without breathers. I want to pull a crankcase vacuum.

True that’s the weirdest thing . Now I have the pcv I will try it and post a vid . If it doesn’t work I will resort back. In their vid they claim it will help with crank case pressure and it looks like it will with how it’s designed . I can only try it . I’m going to swap the rocker covers around so the pcv side is on the drivers side , mount the catch can on the drives side head face as the pcv port is at the front on the sniper . Just for a cleaner look.

Hit the agree button . I have both vacuum nipples on my 1200 cfm throttle body tied together and ran to a normal pcv valve , and the other cover capped , my valve opens up on start up and stays open ,long as the engine is running, and pulls about 5'' of crankcase vacuum, nice not to have any oil leaks for a change !!
5'' stayed alkl the way to 4200 , didnt have time to watch it when I hammered it -------------hasnt ever passed any oil in the catch can I ran for a while .

So with the breather-less setup is the crankcase pressure at WOT able to push through the PCV even though there's barely any vacuum on it? Seems like that would be a restriction which would cause more pressure buildup and oil leaks if the engine is run at WOT a lot...?

I don’t know about that, because I also ran a pan evac system. At idle the PCV does the majority of the work. At a cruise, you have both systems pulling crankcase vacuum and at WOT the pan evacs carry the load.
