mini starter

well after taking the steering box out and tilting the motor I got the headman headers on. Few days later I go to put the starter in and Son of a... Its too big and I'm not going through all that crap to take the header off again!!! So the question is, do the mini starters have a smaller diamater/width and not just length? If so whats the cheapest route (jegs/ebay/...)? Thanks!

i know the ministarter will slip in when running TTI headers but it takes alot of turing and twisting to find the right angle to get it in there..
you could get away with just unbolting the headers from the cylinder head to get some more room to get the starter in thats how i did it with a fullsize starter and flowtech headers

I have a brand new mini starter in the box for $80 if if you need it. I bought it for my car but then sold the car before I could use it.
