here's a denso installed on an LA.
Drain tube faced down.
Replacement tubes can be purchased, as can pretty much any parts for these.

Mine doesn't have that particular hole - probably not needed for this application.

All good Mattax, I've come to the conclusion that my silver starter has just had the hole put in the wrong location.
