its almost kinda painfull adding up all the expenses, you've got quite the list there already, its really looking good, i really like all the pictures, keep us posted:-D

good news!!! the engine is in the machine shop and about to be disassembled!! he will get back to me on prices after everything checks out (oh goody) Also stopped and made an offer on my parts car and will pick it up next week and start disassembling that. Things are lookin up for the duster

Jack, ill be headed down your way after the engine and rear are in. Pipestone, in southwest MN where i graduated.

Picked up my parts car today and found out i'm killing a legend. Originally a 360 4 speed 245 hp 4 barrel, yellow Blaze 1974 dart sport. now just a pile of parts to pick through. grabbing the rear end and disc brakes parting out the rest. i'll get some pics up soon.

WOO HOO Spring is coming! the duster is coming back out. Many changes have occured since my last update. The engine i had posted earlier is dead. I bought a 360 long block and am going with tti headers now. next project is rebuilding the brakes and k frame from the 74 dart. using a front rebuild kit from PST.

Huge Update on the Car.

With this weekend came the addition of.

390 hp 401 ft/lb tq 360
V8 K-frame out of 74 dart sport
sway bar
complete front end rebuild kit, bushings, balljoints, tie rods etc
steering box
727 trans with transpak shift kit
8 1/4 with sure grip and 3.21 gears
disc brakes
mag wheels, until i get some 15 inch rims, but they are better than the steelies
custom dynamic converter, 4200 stall
flowtech full length ceramic headers
v8 torsion bars

Everything went pretty smoothly. had trouble with the UCA cam bolts but finally torched them out. forgot the rear shock plates and flywheel bolts, but that was it. we just ended up pulling the bolts from the slant six and redrilling the old shock plates.

haven't gotten it running yet, still need to add
b&m megashifter
carb
need to rewire
radiator
brake lines
master cylindar/brake booster

your car looks like it was about to fall off the lift. nice work

it was pretty close at times, we decided to use tie down straps and tie the frame to the lift before we pulled the engine though so it was pretty secure on there when we were banging around.

Nice progress...keep it up....your car reminds me of my first Mopar...1974 Duster:

update time!

car is in mankato with me and is finally getting worked on.

I pulled the driveshaft out of an old 2wd dodge and got a new tube put on it, balanced, new u joints, grand total $93. pretty happy about that

Had brackets welded on the radiator. ready to go in tomorrow.

New bumper to bumper wiring harness almost installed. Bought from ezwiring. Not too bad, got frustrated at times but that was to be expected.

Snapped a few pics today, more to come soon

WOW! that looked close to the wall in the video. Sounds great! Have you got the 3.55's in the car yet? I bet it wont stay hooked in first gear, and is a blast to drive! How about a vid of that?

it was close to the wall, but further than it looks. i wasn't in any danger of hitting it. im gonna finish up in the next few weeks and that smokey burnout video will definately be posted!
