Silver is stretched.

Purple is moved back 1.5"

Both cars have 28's on them for reference.

If you move it back and have a dana plan on modifying your tank.

Reviving a older thread. How far can you move the rear before you have to lengthen the drive shaft and can you just install different front spring hangers?

You really have to measure. There are too many variables to answer that.

I now see that a few guys have just used spacers to move the rear back up to a half inch to gain clearance and center the tire. If it's only a half inch, the driveshaft won't be an issue. I agree that careful measuring is a must.
