1971 Dart, 440, 4spd, hydraulic clutch, pro-parts headers, manual steering, elephant ears. This is the setup I'm going for. I have already installed the new 11-3/4" brakes off from a 76 cordoba, but have not installed the proportioning valve yet due to fitment with the headers and clutch master cylinder. I want to keep the cutting of the inner fender wells to a minimum (hence the pro-parts headers) and mount things logically to avoid a huge trial and error scenario. I have plans of taking my block and a set of heads to get some fitment of the engine bay done prior to building the engine and making life harder than it has to be. Has anyone done this?
Also, in the process of installing the new brakes with all of the proper upgrades to poly, I have an interference issue with the flex line (seems to be an easy fix) and the lower ball joint ("steering stop" hits the lower control arm way too soon. Do I grind the lower ball joint stop or part of the lower control arm?)
Any assistance and pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
