hey i posted my 383 a few months back. its finished. its a 383 bored 40 over with kb hyper pistons. 10 to 1 comp. with 440 source heads fully blue printed and balanced. comp 507/510 cam. mopar m1 intake with 800 cfm eddy. and the kicker. i found a set of hp manifolds and ran ran 3 inch exhaust almost just as good as headers without the install problems. also running torqueflite and 391s. the build is rated at just over 500 hp im happy lol. i have the fastest 383 in town. i just had to be different lol

? it should go right into gear. when your cruising at say 35mph or so in 3rd gear and nail it what do the rpms do?

Good question Joe.

Otherwise, I say nice job. I noticed big block manifolds will make/allow for some real good power.

it has no flash when i punch it just like a stock torque converter. i called summit they are saying faulty i guess

got it.. do yourself a favor and put a good converter on that *****. you won't be sorry. call dynamic, ptc or ultimate and get them to build one to your specs..

hey that yellow dart of yours. did you mini tub back? if notwhat rim and tire sizes did you use. im still on stock ralley rims lol and i aint getting no traction even without stall lol

no it isn't mini tubbed. but i don't run leaf springs either. its a 17x8 with a 5.72 backspace..

i ran a hoosier quick time pro on my 14" rally wheels and they hooked damn good.

No Leaf springs? Whatcha running?

hmm i never thought of no leafe springs. because my roadhuggers are touchin mine lol... who do i go to for the transfer over to coils

i did put my front rim on the rear of jamies dart. thats a large bolt pattern 8 3/4 witht the springs in the stock location. 17x8 rim. 5.72 backspace and a 225/50-17 tire. it didn't hit but is close. i didn't drive it this way to see if they would hit..

lol verry close fit im goin to try these rims. but later im going to do a mini tub because my spring boxes are a lil ate. so if i mini tub i can get rid of some rust too lol... i priced them over 2600$ for the kit hmm almost just as much to mini tub if i had someone do it.. gotta pay to play pfff

yea, nothing cheap in this hobby anymore.

yeah im goin to start something underneath. goin to do one of the two. i have no choice with all that torque. gonna bust a spring soon lol.
im trying to finish my 65 dart with 360. and i have another 71 dart too. that im goin to try to put a 392 hemi with an an old auto.... im running out of money haha

theres the 65 i dont have the updated photos yet lol the body is mint condition not one rust spot haha. anyways i converted from auto to 4 speed hurst. with that 360. 411 rearend 508 cam and 10 to 1 compression. using stock manifolds right now. i also converted to manual steering for more room

To test the flash point of the convertor, put car in first, hold brake firmly and watch where the tachometer goes when you gas it.

Which KB piston and what did you do to the heads ? chamber CC ???

just the flap top 40 over bore kbs with valve reliefs. and 30 thous of inch gaskets and the heads are 80cc combustion chamber which gives me exactly 10.2 compression

ps the kbs are based on 84 cc chambers which is 9.5 to 1 since these are 80cc i got just over 10 to 1

What did you use for a compression ratio calculator ?

When I plug in the specs and ASSuME that you had the block decked to zero the pistons I get 9.53 given your .030 thick gasket , don't know what gasket that is ?? , 4.290 bore , 5cc valve canyon/relief and 80cc head.
