My New Garage

-
That garage deserves hemi cars or at least big blocks..

Just kiddin what you are into is what you are into.

Nice car house8)

Mike Bowling just left after giving me an estimate on coating the
floor.

He will be back this Sunday to start the process.

I hope you are as happy with the end results as I was when Mike did my floor

I don't know what's better - car progress pics or garage progress pics.

Thanks cudaspaz

I'll go back to the Barracuda restoration pics when I get it moved
into the new garage.

Floor should be done by next Wednesday, then I can go up to
Indy and get a couple of lifts.

It's getting close! =P~=P~=P~

Harold, one of the builders said he was going to give me something
to hang in it. On one of his previous builds he gave the owner
a working traffic light. I wouldn't mind having one of those myself.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Ahhh yeah! Hey what type of coating is your man gonna use on that floor? I need to do both my toy boxes and don't want to make a bad decision

A. He is going to shot blast the (new) floor and get it down to a 180 grit.

B. Then a coat of primer.

C. 1 coat of 100% solids high performance epoxy.

D. Put in the flecks (I decided not to use vinyl logos)

E. 1 coat of high performance urethane

He said I would probably need to re-coat the urethane in
8 years or so. Depends on usage.

Sounds like he knows what to do...I'm trying to locate someone in my area now....ive got 2,096.00 sq.ft. to do...and I know it ain't gonna be cheap#-o

I know you'll do it but if you don't mind would you post sum pics of the finished floor? (arm twist)Ha! D

Ok I give....uncle

I can't wait to post some pics.

If you have it done it will probably cost you between $2.50 and $3.00
per square ft..........this should include filling cracks if it is old concrete.

Yeah, thats about what I figured..its all about the prep, just like painting a car. A friend of mine had his shop floor done this past summer, man what a difference! It took on a whole new look, and it was fantastic! Best of luck with it Tony! D

Thanks Mike!

You don't reckon the shop will get dirty, do you

It sure will.... I've got the Barracuda to work on

I think I had better buy me a shop vac.

That garage really turned out nice. You will be loving it for many years to come.

I had a detached three car built a few years back and the extra space has been great for car projects:

you guys with big sheds arent real men, you all suck.

Just kidding the rest of us dream about having somewhere like these to call home. Wifey wont let me build a big shed, cause she knows i will only fill it with more stuff, and if i did, id just have to make sure theres enough room for a bed cause thats where id be sleeping

Got it all cleaned out today so we can start on the floor Sunday.

It hasn't looked like this since the day they worked out the concrete!
