well i got my second spinal tap / cortizone injection today. went home and slept all afternoon. kids were,at school so it was nice n quiet.

i get a 3rd one in 6 weeks. i can honestly say tho it doesnt tickle, getting partially knocked out makes it a bit easier to bear.

my neck is sore where it was injected, but my hand ,arm, shoulder and neck where the pinched nerve is feels great. he said the second injection is where i will notice the most improvement. time will tell, but if this works i kinda get a bit of my life back. it sucks to hurt all the time. to where you cant even sleep or concentrate on your job or anything else.

hope this works for me. it is showing promise so far.

Matt

Had injection at C7 a couple years ago due to pain and numbness down my right arm, 1x and still pain free from pinched nerve

Good luck hope you get to feeling better

I've had a series of injections too - C3/4/5 are a mess from a sideways whiplash 12 years ago. Too young to fuse - so its all pain management for me, for now at 52 years old.

I feel ya - Best Wishes.

Hope it lasts a long time for you. I went through them and they never lasted long for me. 2 yrs. ago I had to have C7 fused. Not perfect but much much better. Contrary to what I had a lot of people tell me I never lost much range of motion. I think that's because I was in so much pain before I couldn't move good anyway

BTW: any diabetics reading this be warned of something they never tell you. These injections will make your blood sugar go through the roof. Found this out the hard way.

Oh geez! Get well quick! This stuff ain't funny.

Isn't that the truth! My blood sugars go from 90-125 to 3 to 400 after the injections.

I have have 6 in my back over the last two year. I haven't seen hardly any lasting improvement to my back. My next procedure is to get the nerve seared and I am not sure I am on-board with this...

Good luck,
