I converted my 1973 Dusters' 225 Slant Six to the 2 bbl Super Six setup, with an adapter to hold a Holley 350. Now the original 1 bbl throttle cable is way too long, it does a couple big U-bends to get into the throttle cable mounting bracket I got with the Super Six intake.

I got the cable also, but it was from a 1979 Aspen or something, and the gas pedal end has a plastic snap connector, instead of the round end that locks in with a round washer.

So something like an early 70s A body V-8 cable should be what I need.

I didn't know there were so many lengths. I will measure mine today and get a number for you.

Is the length on the blue tapes the length of the black housing itself, or does that length include the cable and swivel end?

Also, would you have any of the kickdown linkage parts? I could use the piece of flat steel with an arc in one end with the slot in it. I could fabricate something, but if an original part is available I could use that instead.

Measurements are from the Firewall washer to the swivel end. I may have the kick down piece also . I'll take a look tomorrow !

I think the 14 inch cable is what I need. I got some measurements today. A straight line from the firewall to the cable mounting bracket was 9 inches, and 22 inches from the firewall to the throttle cable that I have's swivel end being pulled all the way out. This cable is at least 3-4 inches too long.
