Bought a Dell Inspiron Laptop in November. It would just all the sudden shut down and give me a blue screen that says Windows didn't load correctly. It would give option to just restart and would go right back to where it was. Unfortunately I failed to make a recovery disc and one day 2 months later it refused to boot after the Blue Screen. Since I bought it from WalMart online I had a 90 day full refund option so I got my money back.I guess I'm a glutton for punishment because other than that I liked it and bought another one just like it..Well now the second one is starting the same crap but at least I have a recovery disc for it that will boot and reinstall Windows. My thought is though if the Laptop has the same problem wouldn't the recovery disc have the same flaw on it ? I'm not very technical so beyond basics I'm lost. I've only had this one 3 weeks now and am thinking maybe I should just get my money back again and tell Dell to F off.My Wife has had the same unit for 2 years now and not a problem. Please don't tell me to use some other type operating system. I'm too old to relearn another system.Advise !?

I would return it and get something else. The blue screen usually means it has a hardware problem.

I really like Lenovo computers these days.

I have ALWAYS liked (used to be IBM) Thinkpads (Lenovo) but some of the Dell stuff is OK, too. "Is that all" the warrantee is? Isn't there more from Dell? A blue screen these days on a machine built for and installed from the factory is a poor deal

I replaced My Lenovo with this one .Never had a problem with it. It just got bogged down with crap and the wireless adapter kept losing contact with my Network. Kinda wondered about the hardware being a problem. My Wifes Dell has an Intel in it and mine has the AMD A9 in it. I'm thinking I might just take the Dell back and Buy another Lenovo. At least I have the old Lenovo for a backup even tho it's slooow now. Thanks

What model Dell Inspiron?
A search online may turn up it's issue.

Warranty is 90 Day limited to either repair or replace. WalMart's 90 Day return is way faster. I am concerned about my Banking info that is on it now..Don't know what they do with returns.

You have a nother computer? You can download tools to partition/ format drives, even versions of windows. "Boot up" with your downloaded image and partition the drive, then format it.

Also research your Dell. Most laptops have a built in "restore" function, you don't actually need to create the restore disks

Hope you learned a lesson here, first thing I do is make damn sure I can reinstall the OS in case of a bad HD
