Awesome! Looks like they are off to a strong start!

The super slo-mo shots are great this year, I just watched a oil filter give up and it looked like caramel shooting out on the track .. Yes Dart is off to a good start.

My buddy and I only go on Thursday and/or Friday primarily for the Sportsman class. We stay away from Saturday and Sunday because of the ticket prices.

If they want to put more people in the seats then lower the ticket prices, remove the blower straps, run the fuelers at night every night, have skinny chicks with big boobs and hot pants help to get the funny cars back in their tracks, and sell $1 beer.

Did I forget anything?

I agree with the Thursday/Friday thing. I've been going to the gators since the first year 1970. Use to go to the track all 5 days ( use to be a 5 day event). I still go with a bunch of friends and we camp out wed-sun. I just got home an hour ago. I can tell you the stands have more and more empty seats, every years there are less fans. Now days I go Thursday and Friday and enjoy camping Saturday and Sunday. As a group we decided that next year we are starting a new tradition. We will be camping out and going to the NMCA Nationals at Bradenton drags. Gators have finally priced us out!
I could give a crap less about Top Fuel or Funny car. Pro Stock, Pro Mods, and the Sportsman are all i watch!

cant wait for V gaines to get his dart,,,,

force runs a hemi just like and other nitro car,,,,

The new Dart wins its first race!!! Photo from allpar.com

So they took the top fuel hemi, and addressed areas of concern. Main bearings, anodized block, new pan. Sounds like a F'd Over Rebuilt Dodge to me...

The NHRA rule book said that the Fuel engine was based on the Chrysler Hemi...that was removed from the rule book....but the specs for the engine remained based on the chrysler Hemi...so you can build whatever you want ...put whatever decals on the valve covers...but it is still a Chrysler hemi...

changing main bearing size was or is probably one of the few things you can do....the deck height...cam tunnel height...cylinder head valve angles...blah..blah...are all based on the 426...
