Hello All,
I'm Andy from the Mitten state and I just bought my first A body last night. I started searching for a classic car to have fun with roughly 3-4 months ago. I wanted the vintage trans am or road racing experience. I've been a huge fan of the Goodwood Revival and love vintage weekend at my local road course Waterford Hills Raceway in Clarkston, MI.
So I started my search interested in old Ford Falcons until a friend of mine gave me a proverbial slapping and educated me on old mopars. When I finally understood what kind of tire can be squeezed under the fender of an A body and saw what Hotchkis offers suspension wise I was interested. When I saw the video of the E max challenger at an autocross I was pretty much sold.
I sold my 2008 HHR SS with a LSD and 5 speed, paid off some debt and started seriously shopping. To the joy of my wife I actually found one nearby instead of several hundred miles away.
So long story short....I'm officially a Mopar owner. Hopefully coming to an autocross and track day in the near future. For now I'll just start wrenching and keep grinning.
Pics to follow as soon as the car gets delivered on Sunday!
Thanks,
Andy,
