I was trying to search the company that was talked about on the forums here, the new self learning efi system that was actually more affordable and seemed to be working good? Anybody want to point me in the right direction?
Until EFI gets within a couple hundred bucks of a carburetor, I will not call it "affordable".
That system is within a couple hundred dollars of some higher end carbs already. Plus, there will be a savings from the added fuel mileage and improved driveability.

some what true, but you can never have decel fuel cut on a carburetor. It all depends how good you are with Carbs...

One thing to keep in mind when "price shopping" stuff like various home built and Megasquirt, etc etc is that most / all of them to my knowledge (except maybe hacking the GM boxes) must have a WB O2 controller separate, so you can "just" tack another 200+ on top of your figures......

Not sure the added cost will be covered by increased mpg , already getting over 24 mpg highway , 95% of the driving I do , how much better could EFI DO ?That system is within a couple hundred dollars of some higher end carbs already. It all depends on how you are with junkyard parts and electronics. I developed my own ecu. I have done complete efi/ignition for about $200, not including my time.

Aint everybody a dang genius, either.
Not sure I qualify, my focus is a narrow band about electronics, and mechanical things. I need a navigator, to leave home, and find my way back.... not joking about that.

Not really all too modular, seems kinda like one of those proprietary types. All the "value-add" garbage on the TB, "no wires thru the firewall because we even put the ecu on the TB too (so it can cook quicker)" just screams RUN AWAY.
