Well I did it. I needed another car like I needed a hole in the head but her it is. 1970 Dart Swinger (yes another one), 408 Mopar performance engine, 4 speed, 8 3/4 sure grip. Along with the purchase came another 70 swinger parts car in complete form, a 340 engine, rear ends, etc, etc. Maybe I need another hobby.

Nono no no, no new hobby, just more money for a bigger garage.

real nice car!
just curious how is it shiften with that shifter so close to the seat ?

I am fairly short in the legs and the seat is all the way forward. Shifting is not a problem, just wish the handle as a little longer. I would like to find a spin on pistol grip handle if they exist.

Nice looking car !

I think you can use a B body pistol grip for a bench seat car in an A Body.

Nice lookin Dart! Good find. Did you get it for cheap at all?
Not really cheap but I think a good deal just the same. The previous owner is a real good friend of mine. I have been after the car for a long time and was always told that I had first crack at it. Well that day finally came a couple weeks ago when he called me and asked if I wanted it. I know how much $ he has in this car, the 408 was $ 10,000 alone. Centerforce clutch set up $ 2000, complete new interior $ 1700, new floor pans and trunk, $??, new body and paint 3 months ago $ 3800, new aluminum rad and electric fan set up $ 600, new TTI 2" fender well headers $ 1000, new 750 holley $ 600, etc, etc.
Anyways to make a long story short I got the car for $ 12,000. Some may say a deal, some may not but I thought it was a steal.
