I just posted some pictures that were right side up, and they posted sideways...

They didn't do that before, and I'm not on a phone, so it's not the phone twisting them...

    Sup????

so, about this "latest" which shows up in the title of every thread now
any chance we can just drop this and "assume" that the posts show up in chronological order?

(it would make things seem less cluttered, I think)

If you click on "forums" and you get the list that shows all the different subforums, as well as the headline of the newest thread in that forum

Now, it will say "latest" before the title of that thread

So, I've got a question. When can I go back to terrorizing the internet with my giant 600x184 pixel signature? :D

Because the new software seems to be shrinking it down to about 326x100. I mean, I get it, it's all disk space. But 326x100? I think some the emoji's are that big.

          Like that guy. :D

No - its about other users not wanting to have to keep scrolling past large sig photos.

I only have one thing so far to file in the "I aint crazy about but I know it's necessary" file. That is the sponsor column on the right is about twice the width it was with the old software. I am sure with time it will be fine.

One question I do have that may have been asked already if I missed it I apologize.

Looking through the forums, how can I tell threads I have responded to? So far I cannot tell.......or maybe this is still "in progress". No big deal. Just wonderin.

          Thank you drive through.

Well, for starters -- it will be getting narrower. The ad size will be changing soon so that that column isn't as wide. Also, Gold members will be able to close it soon.

Easy. Your avatar will show - see below

Oh that's cool on both counts. Thanks, Joey. I wasn't trying to bitch about the sponsor column. Just pointing out it is different. But it will be neato to have the option to close it. Thanks.

That's what the "hide signatures" setting is for.

Again, I understand having limits. I've been on other boards where users had signature pics that had to be more than 1280x1024, and yeah, that gets old. Or when an avatar picture is obviously a full size photo and it takes the board 30 seconds to reformat it before it loads every time you scroll past that users comments. Also ridiculous. And yes, I was an "offender" on the old board. But after there were complaints fielded about my signature at one point I worked with the mods to trim it down, and left it that way for years. And it's not like I shrunk it down by 50%, we're talking a few dozen pixels.

I just think it's kind of silly. If someone puts up a picture that's less than 800x600 to show a problem, no one can see what's in the picture because it's too small. But to identify ourselves we get a 9.8 kb avatar icon (9.8 kb!!!) and a signature that's less than 326x100. I'm just saying maybe one of those could be made a little larger. Again, not looking for 1280x1024, but another 100 pixels would make a big deal.

I just clicked on a pic of an old Dodge car carrier in one thread and it enlarged. Quite a bit. The old software didn't let you do that.

again, its all about making things faster. The bigger the avatars, the bigger the sig photos, the longer the page takes to load. 20 posts --- 100k avatar on each and a 200k sig pic on each means 6mb download before any of the other stuff gets loaded. Try bringing that page up on a phone

curious - we used to have an area within our profiles for pics (a garage I guess) - is that coming back or are we now using the new Photo Garages for that?

Similar to Mikes question. I haven't seen a way to add or edit in photo garages yet. Am I missing something or is that just part of the in the works stuff?

          Yes, the garage

Click the Garage Tab -- on the top right is a button that says Create New Garage
