So I took off the Slant six old leaf springs and the air shocks that supported them. Of course most know I put on a new set of 002-003 leaf springs and some cheap Summit drag shocks. The cheap Summit drag shocks didn't fit in the front so I got cheap comp engineering drag shocks.
Okay before the rear end lifted at launch likely because I had no weight transfer. My back tires stick out about a half inch on either side so in essence the fenders are over top of the tires. Of course the springs that I used has the passenger side with about a 3 inch Gap and the driver side with about a 2 inch Gap. I'm wondering if this combination actually gives me serious weight transfer and the rear end does not lift at takeoff and actually squats a little bit that the fenders will come down and hit the tires. I like the old school look of the tires sticking out as my whole car is not built so much 4 speed and quickness but old school feeling.

It will rise when you leave the starting line. All leaf spring cars rise in the rear.

Thank you, I don't mind t&t I just didn't want want to find out the hard way (like usual) that the body was going to slam down on my slicks..
Popping the back tires miight affect my et ? LOL

I think bumps in the road may be more unfriendly than the launch.

I know that my SS spring, altho perky, gave a good ride. aka softer than you might think.

but then again, shock make all the difference. Mine were the "race shock" of the day thru mopar, some 15 years ago.
Aka extra length standard shock.

I can't complain about the hook factor thow.

I have the off-set 05 Magnum 18 inch rims and tires for the street and there fine for bumps and fender wall clearance. But I rarely drive it on the street. thank you for the heads up and we'll do a little testing on Saturday hopefully .
