Absolutely! The Canadians played their asses off. The game could've easily been a lopsided Canadian win.

Being 65 and remembering 1980 well I was beginning to wonder if I would ever see the USA bring home another gold. With how stacked Canada was with talent I was doubting it again this year. Truly an amazing win for the USA

I’m really disappointed that our friends to the North acted like they did .
If the Americans had lost and acted sullen and angry,,,we would have been called bad sports and ridiculed .
Those terrible,,spoiled Americans,,,,they think they deserve everything !
Why can’t the Americans just be good losers and admit that the rest of the world is better than they are !
I seem to remember a little while ago when the Canadian team won a big rivalry game .
It was stated that it was retribution for our terrible government imposing tariffs on our neighbors unjustly .
It’s sad really,,,,,the Canadians were the better team in this game ???
Got 1 goal in ,,out of 42 tries .
Had a 5 over 3 advantage,,,,still no Joy .
Then at 3 on 3 ,in overtime ,,still lost,,,and the coach had the nerve to suggest that they just flat out outplayed the Americans .
I’m sorry that the results have shown just how small a group can act .
Yes,,,it feels terrible to lose,,,I know how that feels .
But they are supposed to be professionals and show the young people how a role model should act .
I’m sorry,,,,but I always liked Canadians,,,they were always very polite and courteous .
A very good example for your country when I had the pleasure to meet them .
These guys cannot hold a candle up to Gretzky !

I think he even lives in America now,,,I’m glad he’s here .

Yes the Canadians outplayed the USA, BUT your goalie was better plain and simple...im not whining/crying. Canadians lost, no big deal. USA 1st gold in 46 years, so yeah the USA was due.
I saw disappointment on the Canadian players face. Pretty standard fuckin procedure for losing in the finals...NO MATTER THE SPORT.
I would rather lose with that team than win with these goofs.

Team Canada played a much better offensive game.
That's what made it a nail biter for me.
That super cool/lucky Hellebuyck behind the back stick save was probably the difference.
