There are always going to be people that react poorly to a loss. Saw none of that or poor sportsmanship from the Steve in here or the Canadian Team. Nobody came off the bench to start a ruckus, they sat/stood and reflected... BTDT myself. Fans can be total douchebags, including the winners. As evidenced in this thread.

In hockey, all it takes is a great effort by the goaltender and you can get beat on any night. US got that effort. As far as the ton of shots, you can spray an area with a fully auto UZI/AK/AR and not hit anything of importance, take one shot with a sniper rifle and be on point. If a lot of those shots weren't "dangerous", unimpeded path to the goalie, they could have shot 70+ and not been a threat.

My personal favorite was a team I like lost a game, a fan yells at me I suck... well I didn't play in the game, but thanks.
Try playing in a State Championship game and losing on a fluke play, yep happened to me. We were better, but that didn't matter - scoreboard. Pissed and upset about the outcome, pull up your big boy britches and congratulate the other team. Funny deal that in the round prior, the team that lost to us was whining and bitching afterwards about how bad we were. They had scored a lot prior and got nothing against us, but we sucked. LOL Take it in stride and move on.

Sad deal when you see kids at 6-8 years old flexing on opposition... talk about horrible coaching and teaching sportsmanship.

Yes,they can't make it..statement from the womens team.."Due to the timing and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments they are unable to particpate"
