NHL thread for '25-'26?

3rd place in their division?

Hawks sent Murphy, the longest tenured Hawk, to the Oilers. Poor guy came from Phoenix to an entering the rebuild but denying it Hawk team. Played well for a long time and now at least gets to go to a potential contender. Hawk young guys stepping into roles. Next question is does Foligno stay or go?

5-1 Wild.

OUCH.

Had to crash in P2 with score 3-1

Q Hughes is a bad-***.

I really like Kaprisov (sp), I'm a big fan of scoring Defensemen who can still defend.

What's the record for high stick penalties?

I didn't watch any of it, but I'm really surprised at the score. I watched the video recap, and between that and listening to my coworkers just now and it seems that the Wild had an "up" game, and Vasilevsky had a pretty bad one. I mean, that third goal he gave up? How does that happen in the NHL?

And it was pretty cool seeing Kaprizov beat Marion Gaborik's record for most goals by a Wild player. He's still young, and there's no saying how far he will go. Never really cared for Gaborik, as he was a one way, "suck hole" player in my opinion, and I'm glad to see his name removed from that record.

TBL drop 5 of last 6 games since the Olympics.

NOT a good time for that.

At least they have some cushion.

Dumpster fire of a year and they trade Laughton and McCann for 2nd round picks lol. Dumped Roy onto the Avs for a 1st rounder. But to get rid of Laughton a heart and soul and hometown boy for a 2nd round pic.
It gets even more stupid...they sit Ekman-Larsen for "roster management "= possible trade lol. Seriously? Your best defenseman, top 4 D pairing on any team, term left on contract at 3.5/ year. Oh yeah, didn't get traded, so now how's he feel? Like an unwanted piece??
Management has to be some of the most inept out there.

I watched a Nick Foligno interview today. He couldn't thank the Hawks enough for his time there and for sending him to MN. He said it was pretty emotional. Character guy!
I was too busy watching HS hockey today to keep up with the deadline, but…..

We have both Foligno brothers now? Nice! Now if we could just get both Hughes brothers as well.

Big SO win for the Avs last night in Dallas. The Avs are healthy and with the addition of Roy and Kulak and the return of Kadri now they are stacked going down the stretch. I'm feeling really good!

Buffalo currently spanking TBL.....

again.

Oy vey!

This ain't your typical Buffalo team. Weird how a GM change flipped the switch. That reaction usually happens after a coach/player change, not a GM.
Refreshing to be honest to see Habs, Sens and Sabres doing so well.
Obviously I'm a Leafs fan, but f em, mgmt "team" are a bunch of meat sockets.
Players and coaching staff must shake their heads at mgmt and the decisions they make. Laughton scores in both of 1st 2 games with Kings, and Roy scores in his 1st with Avs. Oh and Kadri to Avs nets him 1(2?) in his 1st game back.
Leafs lost again, now 8 in a row...
Amount of SNIPES this year is incredible.

TBL blows a lead and gets spanked again.

This time by Columbus.

Painful.

Nice to see Corey Perry back, though.

Could pay dividends going forward.

Speaking of Perry and his linemates, the wife and I have come to the conclusion that Pat Maroon, is in fact, a werewolf.
