BTW... my '62... before i put in frame connectors, after it spent a few days on jackstands i couldn't even open the doors... the things are tin cans.. connectors helped sooo much

Come on now. The "Frame Connectors" one was the best of all.

Of all the dumb I thought I ever heard, that one was peak of the mountain.
Maybe He's applying the same logic when something else gets stiffer than usual, and another part of the chassis gets over-worked causing a stress induced injury.............

Uncle Tony in Post 451 looks just like what he really is, some junk yard guy you'd go to to buy used parts...

(I couldn't resist...LOL! )

Jesus...i need to go cut my connectors out now :(

What's funny is i put in the USCRT or whatever connectors and the torque box pieces are sitting in a corner.. never got to it...

If that is the one where talk of stressing spot welds. Yep, doesn't get more stupid than that.

As opposed to tweaking 1/4 panels, roofs, breaking front windows, left front rail bent up higher than right, doors not closing correctly because the flex turned a rectangle into parallelogram/rhombus. But those innocent spot welds...

It's not like hes ever built ANY engine that would even NEED subframe connectors.
