Dyno shops don't warranty things they didn't build. Right?
not only NO but, HELL NO!

I'm not saying it's planned.. and i do think he's a fuckwit. but i think he just doesn't give a **** since it's not his money...Would you let someone dyno your engine if their willing the blow it up for a 111k in views and $500 ? (That probably has to pay someone to film and edit from the big youtube pay day ). I'm pretty sure that wasn't going through his mind as he dyno it, seems like a very poor business strategy. The dude is just an idiot and happens to film his idiocy for all to see.
I'm just arguing against this Idea that people have that it was obviously done for the clicks and youtube dollars, not saying Nick ain't an idiot and wasn't reckless with buddies motor, he obviously is and was.I'm not saying it's planned.. and i do think he's a fuckwit. but i think he just doesn't give a **** since it's not his money...
look in the comments.. and look at his shop.. it's packed... gotta remember most old guys that can afford super nice classic cars now never worked on one.. so when he says it was built wrong.. and he will fix it they all fawn over him. Can't be good for business blowing up customers engine, even ones you didn't build and aren't responsible for.
I could see that, just can't see him blowing it up for youtube or even so he could get the work (rebuild) but yes he was obviously being careless with buddies engine though.look in the comments.. and look at his shop.. it's packed... gotta remember most old guys that can afford super nice classic cars now never worked on one.. so when he says it was built wrong.. and he will fix it they all fawn over him.
yeah.. but her has 40 years experience and you do multiple dyno runs on a motor you can see has serious issues? I can't see how anyone could just do it out of stupidity...I could see that, just can't see him blowing it up for youtube or even so he could get the work (rebuild) but yes he was obviously being careless with buddies engine though.
You could be right but it don't make any sense to me, but who knows people do a lot of stupid **** for stupid reasons.yeah.. but her has 40 years experience and you do multiple dyno runs on a motor you can see has serious issues? I can't see how anyone could just do it out of stupidity...

I'm sure business is good due to the exposure but, here in Chinada we don't get monetized nearly as well as other countries. I bet it's less than 2k a month on a "viral" video. J.RobFor as many people seem to be watching his videos, I'd beg to differ. He's laughing all the way to the bank. Just like Tony. As sad as it is, they all have a cult following that fund their shenanigans.
I feel like **** when a customer brings in an engine I didn't build and it doesn't make the power the customer was expecting or there's an oil leak or something . I've even had a session on a Saturday and something went wrong, tear the top end off to fix something but can't get the gaskets 'till the following week--re-dyno the following Saturday---same charge or a half charge more depending on my level of assistance. I can't imagine having one toss a rod--but like I said-there are signs, especially with all the data channels SF supplies. Watch this--next engine I dyno--BOOM! Lol . J.RobCan't be good for business blowing up customers engine, even ones you didn't build and aren't responsible for.
Wasn't that the engine owner with him? So my question is who's the bigger dipshit? If that was my engine and my money, I'd have pulled the plug at the first sign of smoke or steam. It's the age old adage of people with more money than sense.I'm not saying it's planned.. and i do think he's a fuckwit. but i think he just doesn't give a **** since it's not his money...

I thought it was " More dollars than sense(cents)" J.RobWasn't that the engine owner with him? So my question is who's the bigger dipshit? If that was my engine and my money, I'd have pulled the plug at the first sign of smoke or steam. It's the age old adage of people with more money than sense.
Upthread others have called him Nick's brotherThe guy wandering in and out with the white hair? i don't think so.. that guy has been in a bunch of videos, i think he's just a guy at the shop.. (if that's who you meant) plus at one point he was playing with dyno controls, i don't think a random customer would do that
Maybe that too.I thought it was " More dollars than sense(cents)" J.Rob
ahh yup.. i think that's right.. he's the racer that is a hemi expert also.. i haven't watched that channel in like 2 years..sooo...Upthread others have called him Nick's brother
For sure but that's the fun of it...most get off the rail and into personal attacks, key is to use vocabulary and tact... when you use 15 dollar words most people don't know what you are talking about but pretend they do, its fun when face to face...we see this all th etime in corporate America noone wants to say "could you please explain that to me in Layman's terms...?"As soon as you open your mouth or post a video, you are open for criticism. My videos are mostly "WTF/HELP" moments lol.

No there wasn’t.There was 3 good episodes of UTG
It's good for readership. Look at how the story has spilled over to this forum and a bunch of us are talking about it. There's probably more than a few dozen mew people have watched the video. His analytics will show this one will be a popular video for him. It's all a numbers game once you start collecting a paycheck from YouTube.
No there wasn’t.

Come on now. The "Frame Connectors" one was the best of all.
Of all the dumb I thought I ever heard, that one was peak of the mountain.
