289k subscribers is a far far cry from 21 million. That’s like comparing Apples to fuckin spaceships.

All I know is it's pretty disheartening to realize people make money doing shoddy work and showing it on YouTube to make money. It's a slap in the face of every PROFESSIONAL who does this for a living, providing real quality.

I was watching Nick run a 340 one time just to see the numbers, the wife walked in and said "I don't get why you are watching this guy rev an engine for 45 minutes...":)

Uncle Tony...pfft he's what wed all be doing if we didn't have to go to work every day...did he ever get a T shirt and autograph tent at Carlisle yet?

Last time I watched that putz was the "doctored up oil" video after Mopar Al took Slughammer on Power Tour...

And for ***** and grins well post the metrics for uncle Tony’s tube channel.

There was 3 good episodes of UTG.
One he bought fuel line at Lowe's on the plumbing isle. He said toilet supply line is the same as braided Stainless is just as good as the real stuff used on equipment, planes and automotive. Who knew that. He's a smart cookie
Two he found a broken abandoned push lawn mower. Pushed it back to the shop and fixed it.
Very entertaining but I was high on morphine after neurosurgery.
And third he dingle balled a 318 for some poor kid in a driveway that later blew up.

For as many people seem to be watching his videos, I'd beg to differ. He's laughing all the way to the bank. Just like Tony. As sad as it is, they all have a cult following that fund their shenanigans.
How much do you think their making on youtube, where they can blow up a Hemi for clicks, lol.

I dont know but he DID say he was gonna work up a estimate to rebuild the engine for his customer.
Fair enough, but he's just getting enough viewership to make a little extra money filming what he would normally be doing. People act like these guy's are pulling in millions, which there is channels out there doing that (one's doing millions of views per video) but not the one's were generally talking about.

I bet the customer signed a release. Dyno shops don't warranty things they didn't build. Right?

Even if so, that video seems pretty damning to me. They should have known better. Hell I would have and I'm an idiot.

I wasn't referring strictly to youtube income. Good or bad, it's still publicity for him. With that comes more people to drink the coolaid and pay him for his service. Why you guys actually watch that junk is beyond me. Find something better to do.

Never been a fan of Nick's, very boring

I just don’t agree with it’s all for the clicks and money.

I agree Nick plays the blame game. Blows up stuff and blames others. Then plays Nick the all knowing hero. And charges the customer's to fix what he blew up. And also gets YouTube money as a bonus

Fair enough, but why do you think has a youtube channel?
I'm sure it wasn't to blow up a Hemi for a 111K views and $500 or so dollars, probably wanted to share what he what he does/thinks, same with people on here, community. Just on youtube if enough people are interested in what you say and do you can make a few extra bucks, very few are pulling in large amounts of money where they can waste thousands of dollars on something and make a profit in views. Most put the money back into their projects basically help funding their hobby.

Here's a channel I like, the dude been doing it for over 5 years, 300+ videos ( a lot of extra work ) and got under a 1,000 subscribers so can't make any money, if it was all about clicks and money there would be a lot less channels.

MONSTERS MARSH

it didn't cost him anything to blow it up... the customer will pay for the rebuild

Would you let someone dyno your engine if their willing the blow it up for a 111k in views and $500 ? (That probably has to pay someone to film and edit from the big youtube pay day ). I'm pretty sure that wasn't going through his mind as he dyno it, seems like a very poor business strategy. The dude is just an idiot and happens to film his idiocy for all to see.
