I'm not getting any response to this down in the electrical forum so I thought I would post it here where there are more lookers.
I am getting close to starting the Demon for the first time.
It is a 360, .040 over, 10.5:1 comp, xe268h cam and 1.6 rockers. 727 trans reverse manual valve body, 2800 stall and 4:10's with 26" tires.
I will be running all MSD ignition. 6AL box, Blaster2 coil and 8534 Dist.
The only added electrical will be the typical guages and a modest music box. Other than that it is a bare bones build. Although I do plan on some good headlights.
Here's the questions.
What springs would you start with on the counter weights in the distributor, and what initial timing, keeping in mind that performace is the number one priority.
I need an alternator, what do you guys recommend keeping in mind that I will be buying it at the local parts store?
I have decided to mount the 6AL on the pass. inner fender. Is there a problem with that?
What type of headlights? (silverstars)?
