I have a 1977 dodge 4x4 truck crew cab that has a 440 engine with 3 spd auto transmission. I wonder what my options are with engine transmission replacemnet... Greatly need yor advice
1) buy a late model dodge 5.7 hemi 4x4x savage truck and basically put the whole power train in my 1977 , nice power with some gas mileage? ..
2)put an 360 engine or something like that with 700r4 overdrive transmission. Not sure about transfer case

I've done 3 restores, good welder, good with truck wiring
My goal is a daily driver and a good 4x4 for hunting, with some crusing speed and gas mileage
