How many fires did YOU have locally, from people "not following" the turkey fryer rules?

Nearby in Post Falls, we had the "usual" "Let's put the thing on the deck" and burn the house down

had a couple of tards a few years back trying to use one on their covered front porch about 12 feet from my front door and 10 ft from my porch in the freezing rain , I had to explain the basics of water in a deep fryer and when they didn't believe me I turned off the burner and tossed an ice cube from one of their cocktails in the hot oil , they got the picture real quick and moved to the back corner of their yard with a tarp strung out in a tree to keep the rain out .

in my neck of the woods i need to carry a fire extinguisher as long as small game season is open

I feel for you man I spent 2 years in the Mason/Leslie area and close to 10 on Lansing's Northside .
