yeah that was kind of broad, let's just say crooked Hillary should be on TV as she's being carted off to jail along side her cousin bill Clinton. and Fox is the only news source I will watch ....

Oh, we need the institution of democracy, just not pounded in your face with character attacking commercials on TV. If you base your vote on something you saw on a TV commercial, then you don’t understand the process. Unfortunately, most people do just that, vote for someone because of a TV ad instead of doing the research and finding out the real deal. Most people are too lazy to do that tho, too busy watching cat videos I guess.

None of this is directed at you by the way!

I get what you are saying, and you are correct you should not base your vote on commercials.

my comment was directed at the statement about removing all of Congress, the Senate and the white house from TV.

the free press is a vital portion of democracy and now more than ever its important that people pay attention. It's hard to find good journalism you need to be vigilant

It appears that you missed the rest of the sentence...."and all the associated mid-term smear your opponent commercials."

But I understand emotions are high with all the partisan side picking stuff. The point is, I do not care for the ridiculous smear tactics these commercials have morphed into. Sad and pathetic in my opinion. And certainly none of these commercials would sway any decisions I make at the polling place.

Also, I am kinda sick of "Flo" the Progressive insurance lady commercials. ;)

If you live in Michigan like I do, you would be sick to death of the “fix the damn roads” campaign platform that’s been going on for the last 25 years. They raise taxes, insurance premiums and do nothing to fix the roads. Not gonna miss a meal tho, or a chance at lifetime healthcare for themselves! Loved the $200k makeover on the capital building tho, I’m sure the govs office needed a $30k desk.
