As the title is asking. I'm not looking for a discussion of what's right or wrong. I just want to see what they look like for myself. Thank you.
The only girl I know named Wendy isn't big and would be insulted by that remark. lol235's look like big wendy wearing her little sis's snake skin bell bottoms, and you know it.
I know all the specs. I just want to see what it looks like. Thanks. You don't care that it i s the wrong fit. Just want to see if someone else also put the wrong size tire on too narrow of a rim ?
I guess if t is for display it doesn't matter. Otherwise it will be mushy around turns.
235-245mm is over 9" through the section of the tire. tread around 8" depending on the brand and model of tire.
The tread width should equal the rim width for the other people out there who care and want to know.
At least a 7" rim width is recommended for that size of tire regardless of rim diameter. for the tire tread to sit flat on the road surface.
14,15,16,17,18,19".....
Thanks......but those won't fit on the front. .....of my car at least.I don't have 60's but these are 225/70's on a 5.5" rim....shorter sidewall of a 60 series I'd probably be more comfortable with a 7" rim for those tire sizes personally

Thanks. I use this one. lolI find this online calculator very helpful-
235/60-R14 vs 215/70-R14 Tire Comparison - Tire Size Calculator | Tacoma World
They were on the car when I bought it 15 years ago. Drove the car 1850 miles in December from Mn. to Reno, Nv. Replaced them 3 years ago with what I have on it now (avatar). To be honest, I put another 100 miles on them before replacing them. With power steering I never noticed any difficulty with the ride. Of course, just the joy of having another 69 cuda may have just diverted my attention. Thanks very much. How did they ride and handle? That doesn't look as "bad" as I thought it would.
Oh, NOW you wanna know, lol. My Dart came with RWL Uniroyal Tiger Paws in 225/60-14 when I got it. I didn't know at the time (first car) but it was a wallowing pig. You could jog the wheel back and forth on the highway and the car would continue to yaw when you stopped.... While still traveling perfectly straight. You'd swear it had a lazy Susan in the system somewhere. Thanks very much. How did they ride and handle? That doesn't look as "bad" as I thought it would.
What size 50s? They can't be very tall.Oh, NOW you wanna know, lol. My Dart came with RWL Uniroyal Tiger Paws in 225/60-14 when I got it. You could give it a push on the quarter panel while stopped and it would sit there and boogie down. I just thought it was "old car" until I rebuilt everything, and then put 15" rims with 50's on the front. They're still 5.5" rims but much more stable.
225 I think. I'll look when I head out.What size 50s? They can't be very tall.
You must have the car pretty low then.225 I think. I'll look when I head out.
There are still bald spots inside the fender roof from the old tires lol
Dang, my memory is shot! 215/65-15. Lemme know if you still want pics. That's not at ALL what I thought I had on thereYou must have the car pretty low then.
Nah. I'm after 14" pics. It's all good. Thanks.Dang, my memory is shot! 215/65-15. Lemme know if you still want pics. That's not at ALL what I thought I had on there

Yes, all 4 wheels are the factory 14x5.5 and all 4 tires are as you see in the pictures. Including the picture in Arizona. So those are still the 235s on 5.5" wheels?
For those of you shakin your heads, here is my issue. I want a wheel I can use a stock wheel cover on. I already have the wheel covers. I would like something a little wider than a 215 70 14. Plus, I believe they may not fit the front without some trimming......how much I don't know. If I knew 100% the 215 70 14 would fit with minimal trimming or none, I'd probably put those on. I "would" go with a 225 60 14, as those will fit "better" than the 235 60 on the 5.5" wheel, but still the 225 isn't optimal. The issue there is, only ONE supplier makes the 225 60. BF Goodrich and they are pretty costly. I have to watch every penny. I want the same size all around.....or at least the same diameter. So any of yall thinkin this is a bad idea wanna donate some 14 x 7 steel wheels, I'm all about it. Otherwise, I gotta do what I gotta do.

Cooper cobra are also available in 225/60x14. And they are a better tire and $30 ea cheaper. So those are still the 235s on 5.5" wheels?
