It’s 104 degrees outside today so I’m veggin, drinking beer, and surfing FABO in the confines of the cool A/C. I took some pictures of my motor; it’s still clean so I thought I would share. I got it running a few weeks ago and have put about 100 miles on it. Still working out a few bugs, hopefully will have those fixed in a few weeks. I was going for the “old school” look with the motor. Painted the LD-340 and installed a Mopar chrome air cleaner and original “Direct Connection” valve covers. I’ve had the valve covers saved in the original box for about twenty five years, pissed me off when they started remanufacturing them.

Enjoy!

HONEY…bring me another beer please… since-you-is...

nice and clean! how do you like that FR 16:1 manual box?

It's nice, but I haven't got the final front alignment yet. We'll see what it's like once I get the caster dialed in. What I really like is the simplicity of the manual steering and maunal brakes; no booster and one belt. When I drive the Demon I'm really driving...4-speed, manual steering, manual brakes and 443hp with 460 ft lb of torque, yeah buddy!

Demon408 : I LOVE your motor !! That's done 100% to my liking , actually ; looks stock , but with some dress up ; and the engine colour intake !! WOW !!

As far as your anger over the repro Direct Connection valve covers : TOO BAD !! HA !!
Now I can get 'em for my Coronet's 318 :-)

Ok guys... youre makin me wanna grab a 6pack, some rubber gloves, and rags... and jump in my engine compartment. Lookin good!
