Please help ID this Mopar wiring/engine harness...PICS!!

I have a NOS Mopar firewall and/or engine wiring harness, any clue what it fits? Part number 4085674 69281 on tag, big plastic firewall plug has 4055400 on it. Maybe F-Body or Dodge truck? Any help would be great, Thanks!!

Hey Keith, I aint much help but it looks like it has elec igntion hookups....so that should narrow the search...also take part # 4085674 and google it

Yup, I already did that...no luck. It does have EI plug, I was thinking late 70's, early 80's? Maybe a F M or J Body car, maybe a truck?

x2, plus the part # is higher, most of the 68-9 part #'s start with 27 or 28...sorry I cant be more help.

Keith! I have all the partsbook up to 1977 and it doesn't show anything. I also checked the book with all the superseeded part# but no luck there. So it must be 1978 or newer.

was looking at truck harnesses this w/e...it sure looks like a truck ,maybe van..that large white round connect is for power like fusible link..all the 84 on up vans have this connector..hope this little helps..j

Let me look at my 85 Ramcharger Keith, it might get you closer and I would think it could fit many possibly, I will compare the colors of the wires to my bulk head if it ever quits raining #-o

Sorry if this burst anyones bubbles but I would say it is an 1980 wiring harness for a Volare or Aspen without the lean burn option due to the ECU plug...someone else told me they switched from a round hole to a square hole in late 1978...here's a pic of a 1980 Volare..same markings around the hole as your bulkhead connector..

That does look like it, especially where the old gasket was with the dirt ring, it looks like the same gasket. Also, there is a bolt in the middle of the giant square plug, did this screw into the plug on the back side of the firewall?

Found out this is for a 1979 Dodge van without the 100 amp alt.

Anyone know if this will fit other years?

A member over on the F-body site told me this was in hid Mopar parts book :mrgreen:
