Went 11.98 @ 116mph off the trailer first time out. Spinning at the hit hence the lousy 60’ time.

Needs more gear, better clutch, and better driver! Hoping to whittle it down to low 11s eventually.

I have an Australian Valiant charger with 360 based 410 and five speed manual with 3.91 diff.
mine made 392 rwhp and 594ft lbs of torque at the rear First run it did a 12.1 dropping the clutch @ 5 grand. The next run I thought I would take it a little easier and dropped the clutch @ 2500rpm. It ran a 11.7 @ 117 mph.
Next time @ the track I took bumpers and unnecessary seats out and it ran 11.5 @ 119 mph.
So try dropping your clutch at different revs and you may get a big surprise like I did.
My engine now makes 425 rwhp and has trick flow heads and a slightly bigger cam but as I am now seventy years young I have not ventured back to the track but it is defiantly much faster and revs much cleaner!
Specs are as follows.
360 40 thou over and 4 inch forged crank ,forged pistons 11.5 comp, trick flow heads, cam is hyd roller 237 / 242 610 lift 112 lobe sep twin plate clutch , caltracks .
When it ran 11.5 it weighed 3100lbs with me in it.
