Looks like you have the larger tubing, so that eliminates that idea. I have an idea, and am gonna try it in the next week. I’ll let you know if it works.

What steering joint? BAC coupler or Borgeson U-joint?the borgenson box i have in our dart hisses also. no chatter though. smoothe as hell. . its gotta be something in the box. i was originally told its probably just air. the car has about 8200 miles on it with the box and it still hisses. i highly doubt its air at this point. i've gotten used to it and don't realy even notice it anymore.. its always been a complaint since the boxes came out.
I know it isn’t the joint, but the joint is transmitting the noise.BAC coupler
a ujoint isn't going to cause that noise either.
its something in the box for sure. its been a complaint for as long as those boxes have been on the market.
.
I’m seeing if anyone has the Borgeson “vibration dampening” ujoint and is still getting the noise. So far, we all have the BAC coupler.I know it isn’t the joint, but the joint is transmitting the noise.

Also, some people put a spacer behind the drivers side bolt on the pump to line it up more directly with the steering column. I don’t have a spacer so you can see the slight bend at that joint, but that angle is well within good steering geometry. Maybe those that shimmer straight aren’t having the problem and us that do not shim it or having the noise. I don’t know, man, there has to be an answer here.
