Purchase of wheels and tires from another member gone bad

hoping there is some kind of resolution to this.. dude sounds like pond scum to me...
 
i've been reading this, but didn't see any point in trashing someone who can't (won't) fight back. Looks like he used this site to con someone and move on. That sucks. I hope you can get some type of satisfaction out of this for yourself and the rest of us, wheels, money or vengance - keep us posted.

What a scum bag, this has been a real long drawn out ordeal. But i will say assaulting someone sounds good on the internet..but ,jail time, fines etc. Ive done my share of "keep it on the down low" stuff, but i learned you dont talk about it . Just let things cool down then "do what you have to do". You dont ask for help from police and then not get the results your loking for ,then go and do something in retaliation. Youll be the first suspect...
 
Just to update this. I left Jason a message threatening him with the police. He responded with apologies and a lot of excuses and said he had no money to send them but I could drive to Maine and pick them up. He's an 8.5 hour drive from me each way. He also said he had a SG 8 3/4 center section that he would give me for the trouble he caused me. That same night I got a PM from another member of FABO who is also in Maine. He volunteered to go pick up the parts and then relay them to me via either his Dad to Connecticut or by a friend who was going to Lake Ontario. He went to see Jason and he got the wheels and tires, but 2 trim rings weren't there and the SG wasn't there. Jason said they were at his friends shop and he would get them the next day and drive to the other members place and give them to him. He never did. I picked up the wheels at Lake Ontario, which is a 3 hour drive for me each way. When I got them home, I found the wheels had been spray bombed and had flaking paint, deep scratches, and runs. 2 of the wheel lips were damaged, and 3 of the centers had stripped bolt holes in them. Not to mention the 2 missing trim rings. None of that was mentioned in the ad. I sent Jason a message saying I was going to call the police on him and his reply was that all he owed me was 2 trim rings and my shipping money and I wouldn't be getting the SG center section. He also said if the wheels were damaged they were damaged after he gave them to the other member. He said my shipping money would be sent this week and the trim rings would be sent whenever he finds them. Beware of Jason Spinney.

WOW, thats a giant bummer.....I would say I am glad to hear that you got them......but by the sounds of it, it would have been money well spent on something else, this kid really needs a good beat down or some face to face police time and some small claims court action.

Sorry to hear things went the way they did.

but I am sure all of us expected nothing less than what the outcome was after hearing what scum he is over the length of this thread.

maybe you can take up one of the other kind members offers and still end up with a good set of wheels out of this hole ordeal.
 
No nut prick couldnt meet you face to face!! Sorry for the f'n you took over this. I would definitely call the cops and play like you didnt get any parts. Or here is another idea, place an ad on craiglist with his email and phone #, moms phone # everything you got on him, for some "adult novelty items" or maybe as a male escort!! He will be fielding all sorts of weird phonecalls. Boy oh boy I could have fun with that!!
 
I'm sure if he had nice wheels, he probably sold them to someone else, then picked up the junk ones to give to you when you threatened him with the police.
 

What a con job. Like many have already said, he intended to con you from the get go. I would definitely get in touch with law enforcement in Old Town.
