I guess if ya don't mind totally changing out the front part of your car..... I would have to consider 68 body and use ma mopars receipt for the changeover. just me.... if ya EVER did decide to sell, I would think a 68 superstock replica would have better value? but then again has a car guy EVER sold one of his toys!!??????
at last you have the wonderful delima of having the hemi and a restored car to put it in!! LOL good luck, keep us posted................

A Gen II style 426 with aluminum heads and lightweight tube headers should be roughly
the weight of a fully dressed stock small block with cast iron exhaust manifolds.

Substitute the World Products aluminum block and you can deduct another 200 lbs.

Get a '67 to '76 A-body for the needed amount of room with no cutting.

Below are pics of some HemiDenny swaps. Real easy to do with his K-member conversion.

All of them have flat hoods (no bumps or scoops) and look stock on the outside

Top: Barton 472 w/painted alum heads, column 727 TF, 8-3/4

2nd down: all-alum (painted) 426, 727 TF, Dana 60, 4-wheel discs, A/C

3rd down: all alum 426, Alum case A833, Gear Vendors O.D., 8-3/4, A/C

Last: MP 528 w/ alum heads, Keisler 5-speed, Dana 60, 4-wheel discs

This keeps me inspired to build my 383 64 Dart. Only thing I'm stuck with is 4 speed or auto??

First off, I like your car!!

Second, I am building a 66 Dart Gt with a 383 4 speed. I think that the 4 speed setup will fit the car the easiest. I am using Hi Po manifolds.

Sprinter.............Build it!!!

Good luck,
Mike

Ha this is how my dad got his car years ago . the chevy guy got the ideal to put a 426 in the dart then found out how much work it was going to be then went to scrap the dart before he saved it .

aqll in all you have to move the shock towers out abvout 3 inches on each side then work your way back in . unless you have too dam much $ and to much time on your hands RUN MAN JUST RUN like some1 back there said its bad enough trying to put a 340 in 1 dial up a 340 and tubb it you will be way ahaead and still might get 9s

A hemi in 65 cuda would sure be the wow factor - not to discourage you, but why not a stroker small block - 400 cu in or better ? Lots cheaper and no real fabbing needed. Just my .02. Take a look at the hp mopar action got out of a 360 late model roller motor...
