Quadrajet vs Edelbrock 1405

weather old school or young.....it seems everyone has there opinion on boundry lines when building a engine and or the entire car/truck....me...old wrench...never could understand putting a chevy engine into a ford or mopar...yah cheap..easy to repair , parts everywhear....but its just wrong in my book...but its my book...i dont poo poo others for what they do..matter of fact some frankinstiane builds ive seen are...well...interesting....when i asked why.....those who spoke truth just said...........its what i had!!!!!....back in the day....60s the fad was putting the hemi's in anything that was worth of willing pinks......dont tell anyone..but my 41 ply coupe....had....oh my im letting it out...ahh..ok..69 camaro buckets....i know...sacrilege.......its what i had!!!!!
I cannot agree more...but then I also have to add that it "depends" on which engine it is, too. The early Hemis for example can be accepted in pretty much anything. But as a general rule, I don't like Chevy engines in other things, although I have softened that stance a little since the...wait for...you're gonna vomit when I say it...since the LS (puke) engines have come out and people are putting them literally everywhere. I say softened my stance, because now I have some respect for seeing a cool little four bolt valve first generation small block Chevy in other things as long as the job is a good one. Also, believe it or not, I even like "some" LS swaps. I know. I'm a heretic. I gotta give credit where it's due. We have a member here who has a whole thread about his 73 and up (not sure of the year) Dart with a hellified LS in it. I haven't checked in on it in a minute, but it should see some 8 second passes. I don't care what it is or what it's powered with, an 8 second pass is cool.

Honestly the way I see it it “Your car your way” even though I may throw up a little on my mouth when I see it, like huge DONK, 22+ wheels on a Caprice, that’s your call and I fully support it.

I don’t support bad information and advice contrary to what I in fact know or will cause the seeker of advice problems.

I know I have a “Potty Mouth” on here and it’s from the heart and true. I laugh at anyone thinking I get so wound up that I’m freaking out here due to a lack of control or meds. If anyone thinks the previous mentioned, fine, IDGAFF.
(The extra F is for “Flyin”)

If you want o put a LS or late model HEMI in your old MoPar, I’ll leave at it’s just not me taste but will also not jump all over you for it. For some it’s a travesty to anything other than a perfect resto. IDGAF, you do you and have fun while doing it.

I don’t support belittling someone because they want to use a brand *** part in their brand yyy vehicle. Also attacking them on a pride level as if they had none for the brand. The brand, no matter what brand of any item, don’t pay my jack **** or pay my bills. If anything, whatever brand I’m using should be thankful I’m using them at all.
Not the other way around.
Period!

Do you have one bit of mopar pride?
Most don't, otherwise they wouldn't be putting them Chinese heads and intakes on. lol
Ma Mopar didn't produce anything worth a crap from about the mid 70's to somewhere in the 90's. imo
How many K cars have you owned. lol how many with Mitsubishi engines. lol

Yeaaaaa, I try and watch my tongue.
It slips.
I rarely give an unwanted opinion to a guy when I’m out and about. I just ask the question rather than bad mouth it.
Makes more sense. It’s finding out where they are at and the perspective one why it is the way it is.

Like I said, Not a fan of big sink wheels. But if that’s your flavor…. Rock it.

Like The Bible says, there's a season for everything. Sometimes my mouth thinks it's open season.
