I posted this question on Moparts also, hoping to find an answer. Does anyone know where I can get the filter nipple adapter to use a standard Chevrolet filter? Supposedly, they are out there but I haven't been able to find it, and Kent doesn't know where to get them either. A remote filter is not an option in this application. Thanks.

I called and asked my machinist if he knew of the adapter and he didn't remember. He said the threads on a Chevy filter is 3/4-16 if you can match the block threads on the opposite side of the plate. He had to work on a Ritter block for a customer last year, but it was solving an oil leak. He said a Ritter block does not use an LA 340 rear main seal. It takes a different one that is an off the shelf seal, but to call Ritter to get the part number. Sorry to not be able to offer a sure fire answer.

Thanks JD. The Chevy filter is actually 13/16-16 thread, and the block is 3/4-16. The 3/4-16 filters do not have a large enough gasket diameter to fit the Ritter block, hence the need to adapt for the Chevy filter which is has a considerably larger gasket od. I took a trip to a semi-local hydraulic hose and fitting supply shop and they were able to match something that will work with some minor trimming. Appreciate the reply!:thankyou:

Systems-1 on mine. Cartridge type filter, in billet housing. The base has machined areas for large and small gaskets/rings. Mine is using the larger diameter gasket.

Yes, I saw those, but we're a bit different in application. Nice filters, though. Customer is gonna try to hide as much of the modifications as possible under the Shaker scoop.
