so I'm making a quiche (I know, don't even know how to spell it, how in the world will I ever cook it, right?)
in the crock pot

well, here is my problem...the recipe calls for one cup of cooked bacon
I fried up an entire pack in the pan but between me and my six year old, there is no WAY one pack yields one cup of cooked bacon

which got me thinking...could they mean pre-cooked bacon?
 
Nope your gonna have to cook up another pack and don't eat it this time! Lol

hold your horses junior, there is only 6 eggs in there, but an entire pack of spam AND an entire pack of bacon (minus what I ate while cooking of course)

can you think of anything more manly to toss in there?



oh, and by the way, it was delicious :p



as for my man card, I think it is under my handgun, in the glovebox of my 400 plus HP rear wheel drive duster
 
quiche is good stuff (which any cook worth his or her salt already knows)- just ignore the nay sayers... Google crustless quiche - so easy and just as good!!
REAL men eat whatever the f^&k they want!! ~damn it

just a recipe I pulled off the interwebs

Ingredients

· 1 box refrigerated pie crusts

· 2 Cups shredded Monterrey Jack cheese

· 1 Cup cooked bacon

· 6 eggs

· 1 Cup milk

· 1/4 Teaspoon salt

· 1/4 Teaspoon freshly ground pepper



Directions

Spray 5- to 6-quart oval slow cooker with cooking spray.Press pie crust halves in bottom and 2 inches up side of slow cooker, overlapping seams by 1/4 inch.
Cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes on High.

Pour whisked eggs and bacone over the mixture. Top with cheese and seasonings.

Cook on low for 2 and 1/2 hours.




I did add a can of spam and a few cups of shredded carrots to the mix

OIC - it's specifically for a slow cooker...
 
Green pepper, diced ham add what ever you desire there is no right or wrong. Any left? I am only a couple hours away.

I do most of my cooking in a slow cooker
its a lot easier to do in between watching the kids, and it has the detriot Lions on it, so that ups my man credit ;)

I should add some onions next time
