I'm putting new tires on my 71 Duster. Considering raised white letters. Is that look dead from the past or making a comeback?

While I completely understand your quest for opinions, it really comes down to YOUR preference. It's your car. Do what pleases you.

What size of wheels and tires are on it now? Looks great.

So many white letters turn brown. Your car looks great blackwall out!

Ok, time to make some people mad, but I’m going with BLUE letters out!

Never wash the protective blue coating off of white letters out, it’s great when you hear someone say “Wow, you just put new tires on your car” and meanwhile they are already 5 years old LOL.

Here’s a good comparison. I deep down wanted white letters out but I initially went with black. It bothered me after a few weeks so I had them swapped. Kinda dumb but these tires are going to be on there for a long time.

White letters are a pain to keep clean.
Gave it up, much happier now.

14" tires with odd patterns of letters, like in 3 separate areas, or 2 one word sections, those are a must in.

Chrome or light wheels, letters out. Grey or dark wheels, No whites. Body colored and dog dish also no whites. (although my 66 had polished aluminum wheels and no whites. It's like any car older than 67 get's no whites. It's all personal preference and what looks good to you.

I prefer white letters out on my stock Rallye's and Road Wheels Magnum 500's for the OEM polyglass sort of look, but black walls out on my aftermarket wheels.

First 2, definitely out, if ever made again.
Last one, not sure, definitely unique.
