A fellow member was burned by buying stuff through facebook and and got stiffed on his parts and shipping. I managed to pick the parts up for him but shipping is killing him. We have 2 fellow members willing to help with 1 taking it from Chicago to Detroit and another to get it over the border in Windsor. Is there anyone willing to form a delivery chain to help him get his axle? The member is in Edmonton.

I would be willing to meet someone in Saskatchewan or maybe even manatoba if we can get it from Windsor to there

so it's the last leg of the trip that is still up in the air? is the shipping in country still really expensive? looks like Lethbridge to Edmonton - or there abouts? maybe we can take up a collection to help pay for it if you can't find someone to do the drive...?

Also as an option, members pending of course. If you need something from the Chicago or Detroit area maybe we can add your parts to the shipment.

I will drive from Edson to Saskatchewan or manatoba it is my rear end so I will do most of the trip lol

Fastenal offer a shipping service now. They ship store to store.
He could pick it up at a Fastenal store in Sask.
May not be too costly...just a thought.

another option - what "they" do here is: if you ship to a business address it is less costly.. I have had stuff brought to a local loading dock and saved quite a bit..

Ya shipping to a loading dock is $1200 us and residential is $1600 add fees to exchange to American and actual exchange rate and the fact buddie stole my original $850 I gave him for shipping and I'm just trying to find a cheaper way. I will give a Canadian $1000can if they want to pick up and deliver for me lol

Ok, I did a couple calls and posted the results on the other thread, but I'll include them here! I can get it to member "junior" in Windsor, and Fastenal has a store in Windsor, and one in Dartboys hometown! All Dartboy has to do is call Fastenal or go to the store in his town and confirm that they do store to store shipping between their Canadian stores, which I was told they do! I was told by the Fastenal store here that it would have to be on a skid, and fastened down to it and not hanging over any side of the skid! I can do all that!! What Dartboy needs to do is confirm the details with Fastenal, and get a shipping quote from them! If it's inline with the $1000 Canadian he's offering, I would say it's his best option! I'll bet it would be less!!

Just remind the importer that there will be 13% taxes on the parts when they are brought into Canada.

Sedanman came through again found a cheap shipping place it has been dropped off and we will see what happens

I will let you know who and how I feel about them when it gets here but they are around $700 vs $1200 everywhere else I called

Right? It's at least 100 steps forward and closer to him even if he had to cross the border to get it.
