I knew when I tore the car down 10 ish years ago these would be a treat. They did not disappoint. Got both installed in about 6 hours total. Forearms look like lion snacks. It’s an amazing amount of engineering packed into one tiny piece of glass.

I just put my quarter glass regulator and guts in this week too. If I had to write a procedure I don't know if I could. We should get an award for getting that job done. It seems that there is 12 different ways of doing it but only 1 way works :). My arms and hands are a mess too.

Yes, contrary to a video I watched I bolted in the glass last. Even though the glass is original and scratched, I knew tossing it into the fender to assemble everything was not a good call for me. Getting the two window bolts in takes a little patience but very doable this way.

Here’s the sequence: on a bench adjust the regulator to a position where both wheels are at the right distance apart and will be able to enter their respective slots in the glass bracket gizmo, confirm this by pre fitting. install regulator loosely, slide the glass bracket into fender opening. Unbolt the regulator and move the two pieces around as necessary to engage the slider wheels. Return regulator to its mounting position at the same time introduce small wheel into the fixed slide welded on to the interior of the fender and bolt in. After screwing on adjuster collars Introduce the two vertical guide slides from the window fender slot. This takes patience and some jimmying to get them in place. Install outboard window felt. Bolt in glass. Let the adjustment games begin!
